About the Event
Jolicia atte Northcliff was the autocrat for this Regular Event, the event was held in Brendoken's lands and was unusually early on the calendar. However the Frost faire was met with a VERY unseasonably warm day, had we actually been intending to skate on the Thames, we would've all drowned for sure. The theme was a late 16th century English frost faire and included a fabulous, fully documented feast headed up by Ealdred and the usual suspects. The subtlety of fish in the frozen Thames (made of gelatin) we mostly thought was meant to be viewed, not eaten.
The court list of Their Majesties Dag VII and AnneMarie III was extensive, but the highlight was definitely the knighting of our Baron, Master Calum. Yes, Baron Edward received his Award of Arms at the event; he had never received one before!
