lovely day at Camp Cheerful, April 24, 2004. Snowden event stewardted, James l'Huake was head cook, James Barkley won Champion d'arc, Lie de Curamac won Champion d'epé, Artair won Champion d'arms for doing well on the heavy list and shooting remarkably well on the archery field despite having only 5 arrows. Rutgur von Stutgart won the Standard. Katrine del Val organised a lady's solar which featured a book binding class by Pietro.

The theme this year was ''Why are you still in the SCA?'' Many fabulous tales were told of companionship and fun. Of special note, Artair won the title of Champion d'Arms for competing on the armored combat list and shooting remarkably well for only having five arrows. This was also the fist appearance of [[Antarcus Valentior]] and [[Guenhwyvar MacEwen]]'s daughter.

Sadly, the event did not turn a profit, which is very rare for a Standard Bearer's event.

About the Event

The 13th Annual Standard Bearers was held on a sunny day in April. The price for competition in the tournaments was, as usual, a tale to tell at the feast. The theme this year was Why are you still in the SCA? Many fabulous tales were told of companionship and fun. Of special note, Artair won the title of Champion d'Arms for competing on the armored combat list and shooting remarkably well for only having five arrows. This was also the fist appearance of Antarcus Valentior and Guenhwyvar MacEwen's daughter.
