The 1998 Standard Bearer's tournament was held at the Solon Armoury. Gaffer was the autocrat and Dryw Sidon was the head cook.
Conrad Shwartzwolf won the Standard and the title of champion d'arms. Brice Colquhoun won champion d'epé, and Edward Brackenburye won champion d'arc for the second year in a row.
Amongst other notable events was the presentation by Sir Ephraim of the Cleftlands Battle Song he had written. And Milesent made the mistake of saying "We should have a dance guild" to Angharad, thereby volunteering to be guild mistress.
