Gabriel and [[Marixsa of Crawfordmuir]] fell asleep on some comfy pillows which later turned out to be bags of garbage. The same vicious ants which attacked Sir Cully invaded [[Alen Elegil]]'s tent. He retaliated by dousing them with kerosene and beating them with a hatchet. [[Laurelen Darksbane]] became an authorized fighter at this event. Duke Andrew auctioned off the kingdom lost-and-found in his gypsy persona. |

About the Event
The weekend of July 4th in 1977 was the First Ducal Encounter between Duke Dagan du Darregonne and Duke Andrew of SeldomRest. This was an extremely hazardous event, especially for members of the Cleftlands. The wind picked up at one point and threatened to blow away the dining canopy. In helping dismantle it, Caitlin was hit on the head and had to be taken to the hospital. Duke Andrew hit Ireni while playing with his boomerang.
