Edward Fitzranulf is a former Champion d'epee who has worked diligently to promote fencing in the Barony. Of note, he founded the Storyteller's Guild in the Barony, has served as event steward for several events including the Yule Revel in 1985 and the Feast of St. Clairiel in 2004. He was also the original creator of Northern Oaken War Maneuvers and event stewarded NOWM I and IV. Also he served as Cleftland's Pursuivant for three years, and Oaken Rapier Champion once. One of the founding members of the Fellowship of the Oaken Blade and the Captain of the Compagnie de Fer Savant.
