Countess Alys Katharine (O.L, O.P., Rose) has given service to the barony, kingdom, and Known World time and again as class coordinator at Pennsic War (Pennsic 24, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30!) as well as helping out at events and demonstrations. She was the first and third Middle Kingdom Chatelaine, and was Queen during the summer reign in AS 37. She served for 5 years as Society Chatelaine. Currently, Alys has been the Pale Herald for the Midrealm, assigning heralds to royal courts, since 2003. She also proofreads The Pale as well as the Northwatch for Northshield. She has been one of two proofreaders for Pennsic class submissions since about 2000. She also copy edits most publications for the Compleat Anachronist.
