On rare occasions, the arms of especially worthy recipients are given a special augmentation: a canton, chief or other major addition which includes the kingdom badge of Argent, a pale gules, overall a dragon passant vert. This is perhaps the highest honor and distinction bestowed by the king and queen, as it visibly sets out the recipient as someone who has had a very noteworthy impact on the life of the kingdom.

Argent, a pale gules surmounted by a dragon passant vert.

Given for long and dedicated service to the kingdom above and beyond the call of duty, and when no other award would adequately convey the esteem in which the recipient is held by Crown and Kingdom. This is the greater of the two augmentations. Though it conveys no precedence or rank, this is perhaps the highest honor that the Crown can bestow upon a subject, due to its rarity of use. To be registered with the College of Arms, the augmentation must follow most rules for submission.

  • The award bestows the title of: N/A.
  • The Order of Precedence (OP) abbreviation for this award is: KAug.
