About the Event
The first Prima Donna Challenge of the Dance Guild was held, an amusing contest where the dance guild mistress presented the Primere Dancer, Vashti the Gypsy to the populace. A fine upstanding lady stepped forward, aghast that a gypsy held the title. There was some amusing banter between Vashti and the good lady, and then the competition was held. Three dances without calling, one chosen by the challenger, one by Vashti and one by the guild mistress. In the end, Angharad ferch Tangwystl was given the title quite to her own surprise for she did not know she was competing for it, for having danced with the most style and grace.
