			Nest Bengrek was born in 1201 and died in 1235 near Gwynedd, Wales. She learned needle-working from her sisters and some of the scribal arts from a Cistercian monk. Her most prized possession was her beautiful alto recorder, which she often played with some of the townsfolk on festival days. She married a decent fellow and bore him a suitable number of children before she died of an unseasonable chill in 1235. (Note: the short lifespan is so that Nest never knows that Wales loses its independence.)

			As a subject of the fair King and Queen of the Midrealm, Nest joined the SCA in the Barony of Red Spears in 2008 with [[David Hawke]]. She did calligraphy on her first scroll at her first event, a Yule Feast, as court was starting. After graduating college, she relocated back home and joined the Barony of the Cleftlands in 2010. She has since become a regular at [[Needleworker's Guild]], dabbled in period cookery, and joined the Northern Oaken Recorder Ensemble in 2011. Nest served as Cleftlands Minister of Arts and Sciences.
