Knight

A white belt; also a circular chain.

The candidate must be considered the equal of his or her prospective peers with the basic weapons of tournament combat. The Bestowed Peerages all convey a Patent of Arms. Although Dame is the official SCA female title, many prefer to use the title Sir. Knights are required to swear fealty to the Crown. This Order is Society-wide.

Master of Arms

A white baldric.

The candidate must be considered the equal of his or her prospective peers with the basic weapons of tournament combat. The Bestowed Peerages all convey a Patent of Arms. Masters at Arms are not required to swear fealty to the Crown. This Order is Society-wide.
