About the Event

In June of 1987 we hosted the armorer's of the kingdom.

From Jarl Sir Emrys:

"I became guildmaster of the Armourer's Guild when Lord Langdon moved to Pittsburg in 1988. Lord Langdon went on to become the Baron of the Debatable Lands which later became Aethelmark. Lord Langdon and I came up with the idea of an event specifically to advance the art of armouring. Later, with the support of Lord Marc Rengarth who was the Middle Kingdom Armourer's Guildmaster, I was able to bring this to fruition by autocrating the first one in, I think, 1989. I'm not sure but I think the Cleftlands Armourer's Guild held the first kingdom level event of this kind. I know Northshield had one later on.
It was a wonderful cooperitive effort by master armourers from both the Midrealm and the Eastrealm. We had some of the best armorers in the known world give generously of thier time to teach and further the art. Just 2 of note were Marc Rengarth and Robert de la Mont who are the best I have ever seen. Master De la Mont later assisted with the restoration of the Cleveland Art Museum's armour court. It was this kind of dissemination of knowledge that Lord Langdon started and I continued to promote during my time as guildmaster. I think this legacy carries through to this day.
I went on to autocrat the next 2 armourer's events until, starting in the winter 1991 by getting married to Duchess Emelyn, moving into a new house and getting very busy with my mundane work load, I had to eventually relinquish the Armourer's Guild to the care of Lord Ephriam (he wasn't a Sir yet) in 1992"
