Personal Memories

At feast there was the usual round of toasts to Their Majesties, to Their Highnesses, and so on, all preceded by the usual long chorus of 'oyez! oyez!' and then His Highness stood and held his glass up "Hear your Prince!" and instantly the hall fell silent to hear his words of toast to the dark Horde. For that moment it really felt as if were were listening to our dread lord in a crowded castle feast hall. All I can say is, well done your Highness. - Milesent Vibert

My sister and I made 14th century Chinese garb for the Regular Event in Cleftlands: Marco Polo some few years ago. We were asked to serve High Table for the first time, as we were dressed so in theme, and this was the first time we as twins had worn matching garb. Unfortunately at the last minute, someone else was given the job. We were sad, and accepted promises that next time, honest, we would get the job. And so January Events passed with us being told 'next time for sure.' We made matching outfits for All for Love, and A New World, and finally... First Khan-tact came and we got to serve high table, in the same Chinese garb we had prepared for Marco Polo! We couldn't be happier, and with such an esteemed High Table as well! With Valharic, the Great Khan and our own Baron and Baroness! Yes! Ithriliel came to the event and even goaded Laurelen into eating the eggplant. Calum sat at the high table that day and there was a scramble in the kitchen as folks fought over the right to wash his dishes! He who was always doing dishes otherwise. - Milesent Vibert
