Reportedly Sir Ephriam started this event because he wanted to fight during the winter. Before we were known for specialized events (most notably the Armourers Guild events and Armourers and Needleworkers events.) So he proposed a Regular Event, with fighting and a feast. No, Really. It was such a hit that it quickly became a tradition!
